Expand2Web Members at WordCamp

I attended WordCamp Ann Arbor (#wca2) with some of our Expand2Web membersEileen Lonergan, Mike Murphy and Josh Sholder.

I was a panelist on the “Building Your Business” discussion and really enjoyed meeting my awesome co-panelists: Kyle Maurer (moderator), Ian Wilson, Kevin Skarritt, Justin Ferriman, Rebecca Gill and Ross Johnson.

The room was packed and the audience had tons of great questions for us. Here are a few of my answers:

How Important is it to differentiate your business?

What advice would you give to someone starting their own business?

When do you decide that what you have to offer is good enough to bring it to market?

Here are my presentation notes from the talk:

I’ve been to quite a few WordCamps and the Ann Arbor team did a great job on this one. Make sure to attend next year’s WordCamp is you live in the area.

Also, if you like talking about this kind of stuff – building your business, freelancing, WordPress, etc. – consider joining us in the Expand2Web Experts Group – we learn about and discuss these types of topics every week!

Such a fun day – I was really happy to be part of the experience. The panel discussion was my favorite session of the day, by far. Everyone had such wonderful insights to share.

I came home with the most to think about regarding the panels responses to the first video “How Important is it to differentiate your business?” Don you definitely knocked that answer outta the park, man!
