Google has added the ability to add videos to your Google Local Business Center profile. This is a great way to add more search-able content to your profile – and show off your customer testimonials, products, or a personal message to prospective customers.

All you need to do is edit your profile in the Google Local Business Center, and go to the Photos Tab.

Then, you will see the “Add Video” button further down on this page. Note that you have to upload your video to YouTube first, then provide the link to the video here…

Barry Schwartz provides a nice step-by-step of the whole process in his Search Engine land blog post titled: Add Videos To Your Google Local Business Profile. Mike Blumenthal also writes about it in his post, Google Maps: Video can now be added in Local Business Center.

This is another great way to make your small business profile stand out when people do Google searches with local keywords. Something you will want to take advantage of!

In another interesting development, Flickr just added the ability to upload videos along side photos. It seems like Yahoo Listings might take advantage of this to add similar functionality to their listings, like the Google Local Business Center provides.
