Have you ever wanted to feature your YouTube Channel on your Facebook Page?
I do a lot of video screen-casts and I’ve been looking for a way do do that for Expand2Web for a while.
I tried a few of the apps on Facebook but didn’t really like any of them. So I ended up building a static FBML page just featuring a few videos. But if I wanted to change any of the videos I had to edit the page.
Well just the other day, my good friend – and awesome web designer – Eileen Lonergan showed me this service called Involver. It’s just what I was looking for. It will instantly create a new tab on your Facebook page, allowing you to feature your YouTube channel.

It does a lot of other things too, but this is the one I was looking for, and it’s free.
Here’s a screenshot of my Expand2Web Facebook Fan page, on the YouTube Channel Tab. It allows me to feature my latest video, and also shows the the previous videos too. It changes dynamically as I publish new videos to my Expand2Web YouTube Channel.
Update: Many readers commented that Involver is charging for their app now, and have found this app to be a better choice.
What about you – do you have a Facebook Fan Page yet? What apps are you finding the most valuable? I’d love to hear about them in the comments below!

Wow, neat coincidence. I was just researching this program yesterday! I’m looking at ways to expand my own fan page too.
Cheers,
Chris
Are you chris from Android Source?
I was just looking for a solution like this about a week ago for one of my clients and someone tweeted your post. Looking forward to checking it out. Great timing!
Too bad the previous videos (below the featured one) are limited to 6…
Great Article! Thanks for this post!
Dear Don,
thank you for this information, you made my day! I tried Involver for a facebook-Fanpage and it worked out great, especially, because I really get the service for free, as you said. Thx.
Yvonne
Hi Don,
thanks heaps for the info…it was exactly what we needed after much searching online.

Many people have their videos on YouTube but they also like to promote their videos on Facebook fan page. Some people have tried to embed the video on fan page manually but it’s too labor intensive. A Facebook app can actually help you with this. Take a look of the “My YouTube” app http://apps.facebook.com/mytubechannel/. It will add a tab to your fan page where all you YouTube videos are available. Your viewer can plan, search and share your videos right on your fan page. This app have will retrieve new video from your YouTube channel and post it to your fan page automatically. To add this app, follow this link http://www.facebook.com/add.php?api_key=ce498109f1d3a60ae676208f3a8b76d6&pages.
superbird, thanks for the tip on the “My YouTube ” app. I think the app is called “Cueler YouTube” and the tab is called “My YouTube”, but nevertheless, I tried it out and it works very well. It also has an auto-share feature from channel to the fan page works really well.
thanks for the app! i have developed my page and i was looking for an exact thing.
There’s a new app that is way better. I made a video on how to embed your YouTube channel on Facebook in under a minute using it. It’s called Cueler YouTube and it’s free http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89GWKno1GrI
Thanks Jay,
I agree. This is way better than free Involver. Thanks for sharing.
Regards
how do you add an ACTUAL YouTube icon to the side??? one with the REAL YouTube icon??
thanx man
Involver free YouTube app is mediocre. It does not do what it says it does. You may have an interest in advertising this app for them, however my experience is that if you want full functionality YOU HAVE TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT with involve! Better look somewhere else.
I agree with you leland – Involver has change that and it is a hassle now.
I’ll update the blog post too.
I don’t think the YouTube app you’re talking about is actually by YouTube. I use Cueler (http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=162891010412392) on my page and with the auto-share feature, it is probably the best one out there. Also has a “fan drive” feature that helps me get more fans.
You are right Ash – thanks.
I removed that reference from my post. Another reader had pointed this out to me – I had a server outage and lost some of my comments and updates to this post. I did not know that happened until I got your comment – thank you!
Great article. I spent an hour trying to add youtube and used this website and done in 2 mins.
Thanks!!
Thanks for the info! This was so easy. Perfect!
thanks for your info … now i’m going to do it
happy successfull day … !
