The Flickr WordPress Widget

Flickr is an online photo-sharing site that can be used as a tool for social networking, as well as promoting your business and the types of products or services that you offer. Incorporating photos into your website gives it extra “eye appeal” and may induce visitors to browse your website a bit longer.

If you have a Flickr account, and would like to incorporate some of your Flickr photos and videos into your WordPress website, the Flickr widget might be the best way to showcase your photos in your sidebar.

As explained in the video, in order to implement the Flickr widget, log in to your WordPress Dashboard, and go to Appearance > Widgets.

From there, choose the Flickr Widget, and drag it to where you want it to be placed in the sidebar. Then give it a name (for example, “Flickr Photos”), and copy and paste the RSS URL for your Flickr photo page. The last option is to choose exactly how many photos you want displayed in your sidebar; you can choose anywhere from one to ten photos.

Click “Save,” and now your website will display your most recent Flickr photos.
