WordPress allows you to use widgets to customize the appearance of your pages. Widgets can be link lists, category lists, tag clouds and with the text widget you can create almost anything. If you can create it using text or basic HTML, the text widget will display it on your blogs and pages. Step-by-Step Instructions
- Select Appearance and then select Widgets.
- Depending on the theme that you are using you might have 1, 2 or even 3 columns where you can put a text widget. In the upper right under Current widgets select the column you want and click on Show.
- Next to Text, click on Add. You’ll see the widget appear on the right column.
- Click Edit on the Widget.
- Entire plain text or use HTML to customize the text and even include images or other media.
- Click Done.
- Click Save Changes.
Next time you look at your blog pages you will see a new section – your new text widget.
