Small Business Online Reviews Q&A with Don Campbell

Monitoring and building Online Reviews is becoming increasingly important to small business owners.

In this Q&A video, Don answers many of the common questions that small business owners have such as:

  • Why are online reviews important?
  • Where can people leave online reviews?
  • What if someone leaves me a bad review?
  • How should I ask my customers for online reviews?
  • Should I hire someone to create reviews for me?

The free Online Reviews Dashboard tool he mentions in the video is called myReviewsPage.com.

A best practice for every business owner is to have a “reviews page” on their website. This page provides a sample of some of the reviews, and provides links to where customers can leave reviews in the major review sites like Google Places, Yahoo Local, CitySearch and others.

Here’s a great example of a Jewelry store who is doing this nicely: Barbara Oliver & Co. Reviews Page.

Is there any way to display just your online reviews from google on your site?

Thanks Eileen!

Kevin – I’m just releasing a new WordPress plugin over on http://www.myreviewspage.com that will allow you to do that. Another approach would be to get the Places Page URL for your business and use an iFrame to display that within your website.
