Last week I was able to get Jay Blazensky, VP of Business Development at Ring Central on the phone for an interview.
In the interview, Jay addresses common questions that I hear from small business owners like:
- What is a virtual phone system?
- What is a RingMe or Click-To-Call button, and how can it provide a compelling call to action on my website?
- How can small business owners use a system like this to track their marketing efforts, both online and offline? How can you tell how many calls your website is generating?
- Is it better to use an 800 number or local number on your website?
- How can business owners use a virtual pbx or virtual phone system like RingCentral to save money?
- Some examples of businesses are using the web based interface for managing their call routing, company directory, fax and voice mail.

Great podcast thanks for setting that up.
I used RingCentral for our website. We help home owner sell their house quickly.
I have 2 questions for you or Jay:
- Integration to Google Analytics: when is RingCentral planning to integrate from their back end to Google Analytics to allow automated tracking of inbound calls (into Analytics events or goals)?
- Customizing the “click me button”: is there an easy way to use my owner button instead of the list of buttons provided please? The button provided are neat but I wish the customize the look and feel and the text as well to increase conversion rate.
PS: I successfully integrated the script provided by RingCentral with their click to call buttons to track the clicks into Google Analytics. If you are interested I can share that to with your readers.
