I used your instructions to find the best link to a claimed Google Places page for embedding the link into a QR code.

The QR code is to help promote a claimed Google Maps and linked Google Places page offline with a self made window decal (based on the Google Favorites campaign decals).

		<description>I&#039;m helping clients and friends with this by creating a  list style web page with links to their important profile pages (google, yahoo, bing, yelp, citysearch, etc) and uploading it to their site on a cute little URL such as; mysmallbiz.com/spread-the-word

I block it with robots.txt to keep it out of the search results and I tell them to only give the URL out to their happy customers. :)</description>
