Great post and i also expect buzz to start picking up..its early days anyway. How long did it take twitter to gain such popular appeal??
And how long did it take business' to jump on the band wagon?

In my post here http://www.siliconbeachtraining.co.uk/blog/google-buzz-local-business-friend/ i also talk a little about real time search and the implications this has for SEO in real time search and local business'

@Rahman - I agree with you that competition from a thriving Facebook, Twitter and others is a good thing for us all.

I'd like to know why we should start all over again from time to time when something new comes to the market, which necessarily doesn't bring anything new.

I'm asking this while I'm trying the buzz to see what new things it' offers. Yet, I wish for the facebook and twitter soar in their businesses and people prefer to stay there. Concentrating on Google is like putting all your eggs in one basket! I'm horrified!

Hi Matthew, thanks for weighing in.

It's a good question, and probably depends on if the business owner plans to invest time updating their profile. If not, I would probably focus it on the business or a mix.

It sure will be interesting to see if Buzz takes off or not!

Don,

Yeah, setting up the Google Profile just got even more important for SMB's. I decided today to add it our services list. Do think they should set-up a Profile that represents their personal or pure corporate or a mix...?

Setting the G-Map with LBC is a given and any SMB that doesn't is missing out.

Should be interesting how Buzz plays out, but this might be a gamer changer. I see all the IM'ers making products now! :)
