The Business Listing Plus services submits your business information to Localeze. Localeze actively manages your client’s business information and submits it to over 90 directories.

I am only providing this for Expand2Web Experts Members.

Localeze is also the source that Facebook uses for its Places listings, Siri draws from it, and Twitter uses for its local business information.

The cost is $55/year per business listed. I am charging only enough to cover my cost with Localeze and to pay for data entry into the Localeze system. My intent is to allow members to benefit from my partnership with Localeze as an extra membership perk.

Once you pay via PayPal (you can use a credit card) you will be taken to a form to provide your client’s business information. We will enter the information you provide into the Localeze system within 3-5 business days and contact you to confirm when the listing has been verified.

1. How does Localeze “verify” a business with this upgraded service?
2. Is there any reporting?

1. The search their DB to make sure it is not already listed, or listed as a different business, then search the web to determine if there are other references. The verification process is different than the profiles, since you are paying to maintain the listing.

2. There is no reporting, other than the verification that the listing has been accepted and is active in the system. The listing can also be updated at any time if specifics about the business change.

3. It’s difficult to verify. They submit to over 100 directories (these directories PAY Localeze for the information) and so many times you will see businesses showing up in new directories. I know these guys are legit because I’ve met them and practically every one of my Local SEO colleagues use them.

4. It is a yearly fee.

5. Nothing happens to the data that is already propagated throughout the net. But there are no more active updates and the business address stops showing up in the feeds to Localeze data consumers. This does not remove the business, but if you change business information you would have to update those manually.

Note: Localeze is NOT a replacement for claiming and completing your primary directories like Google Places, Yahoo Local, Bing’s Business Portal and Yelp. It is a great way to ensure your business is listed consistently in as many places as possible but is not a “silver bullet”. You still want to take control of the primary directory listings manually.
