Do You Sell Camels? Then Don’t Worry About Being Online

June 20th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Small Business Marketing

I just ran across this hilarious blog post when looking for David Meerman Scott’s eBook on the new rules of PR.

David is a prominent speaker and author on topics of content and marketing. He said many times in his presentations people in his audience will say something like:

“But my buyers aren’t online. My buyers don’t use Google to find answers to problems or to research products.”

In talking with small business owners, I get that comment from time to time as well. Not everyone understands the shift that is happening in how people find local goods and services.

Well, David’s insightful blog post confirms that not all buyers are online - for example this Camel market he discovered on a recent trip to Riyadh is not online, and the buyers probably aren’t either ;)

Oh, and you can download his excellent eBook here.

Don, glad you enjoyed that blog post. Riyadh was a fascinating place, and shooting the video in the camel market was an adventure.
    Take care, David
