One of my buddies at Google set me up to get in the Friend Connect program early (thank you!) So I’ve added it to my blog to play around with it a bit. The idea of Google Friend Connect is to help you add social features to your website, and to see, invite and interact with friends from your various social networks like Facebook, Orkut, Google Talk, Plaxo, etc.
So far I like it; I’ve had a number of people drop by and leave comments on my site; and these are visitors that probably would not have commented on a specific blog post.
Too bad Facebook banned Friend Connect, it would be great to have access to my Facebook friends here.
Anyway, this looks promising - I’ve met some new friends already. I’ll keep you posted on how Google Friend Connect fosters interaction on the Expand2Web Blog!
