Yahoo Rolls Out SearchMonkey Developer Preview at Web 2.0 Expo

by Don Campbell on April 24, 2008

Yahoo SearchMonkeyI’m at the Web 2.0 Expo and Yahoo is launching their SearchMonkey developer tool. In an earlier post I talked about what the new Yahoo Search API means to small businesses, - this new way of providing rich search results could be an important way for small businesses to stand out from the crowd in their search results.

TechCrunch has a nice post that shows screens of the tool and more details on how it works.

For small business owners, I’d like to see these types of search results include information from a businesses Yahoo Local and Google Local profiles.

I’ve signed up for the developer preview and will explore this in-depth and report back on how you can leverage this for your small business or website. Stay tuned!
