If you don’t follow Michael Campbell’s Internet Marketing Secrets newsletter, you’re really missing out on some great tips for marketing your small business online. I recently listened to his three part series on traffic generation, where he interviews some of the leading experts on the topics of search engine optimization (SEO), Pay Per Click advertising (PPC), and affiliate marketing.
Traffic Generation Podcast - Part 1 of 3
In part one of this three part series - Internet Marketing Secrets #135, he talks to experts Dr. Neal Shearing, Colin McDougall and Ginette Degner and asks them to share their secrets for generating traffic. He asks each of them questions like:
- What are your three favorite methods for generating traffic to your website?
- How do you market your websites?
- How do you optimize your website and copy for the search engines?
- What mistakes can people make in trying to generate traffic to their website?
- What is one secret for generating traffic that many people don’t know about?
The result is a super-informative podcast packed full of great tips and information about generating traffic to your websites.
Another way to see things - Mind Maps
One of my favorite ways to take in information and organize my thoughts is with mind maps. After I listened to the podcasts I couldn’t wait to map the tips and tricks out visually. So I created a mind map of the podcastusing Mindjet MindManager, which you can download as a PDF file, or view as a full-size image by clicking on the thumbnail below. It contains links to the transcript of the podcast, and many of the tools and resources mentioned in the interviews. You can also download the MindManager file if you would like, using the free MindManager viewer ( for the best viewing experience.)
Seriously - if you are at all interested in these topics you should listen to these podcasts right way. I’ll be following up with Part 2 and Part 3 in the series shortly. So stay tuned, and please let me know what you think of the mind map too!
